Kokkino Nero is situated at the east side of the mountain called Kissavos. The beach is divided into two smaller coasts. At the north side (Eurymene Municipality) there is a pebbly coast 500 m long, while at the south (Melivoia Municipality) lies a sandy beach, 1 Km long.

It is called Kokkino Nero (red water) because of its red sparkling water, that springs constantly all the year from the famous spring, offering its healthy features. Here you can enjoy the lovely sea and the beautiful beach which is full of several kinds of colourful small stones.
