KARMA

...the Usual...Kobei...

The whole idea of living a good life has been embedded into the teaching of religion and in every day society... although lately it doesn't seem that way. Lately it seem all wrong. What goes around, comes around. But with this theory, you are basically fed two ideas: either something is good, or something is bad. Do a good, get a good. Do a bad, get a bad. So by this theory, where does it start. Tomorrow, when I decide to cut in line in front of somebody at the super market, is someone going to cut in from on me the next time, or am I just doing it to re-pay someone back for a wrong they did... OK, maybe a bad example.

What if this theory was more based on balance rather than a right/wrong issue. Say, one day you found a wallet on the ground with $500 in it. Return it? Keep it?... Keep. Happy you got ahead.... 3 weeks later, your car gets stolen... Karma???? You got what you deserve for keeping the wallet. But what if another week later you win $1000 playing bingo... was that Karma acting.... Because you had such bad luck with the car, it was the worlds way of balancing thing out. Good to bad, bad to good... and then...

Lately, actions have been having longer contemplations than before. These actions I take seem to be analyzed too much for things that are out of my control. Things that keep you from doing bad but stop you from doing good. Should life be measured this way? As a series of action that make no sense but to only balance out at the end to zero... It becomes that poor mans ticket to his golden retreat...

Maybe we analyze our action too much. Just take them for what they are... thing that just happen... and when everything is all said and done, you would have hoped to have done enough... enough that you wouldn't have to worry about some guy cutting in front of you in the line....
