The simple eraser. What ever happened to it. We use to look for a perfectly sharp pencil in our drawers, and take out a crisp new sheet of lined paper and start to write to our hearts desire, until when we would have little grammatical errors and then smudge the little lines away to make room for more nonsense. The essence of thought was there. The simplicity was always captured because it was too difficult to crumple up what you have already written for a brand new thought process. The modern word processors might have simplified our lives but taken away the freedom of writing. I don't know how many times I may have hit that delete key on my keyboard... much more that I would have every used the pink gum on the end of my pencil. Much more lost.
So I start here again trying not to erase anymore, but it all seems too messy. Are we such creatures to want to make messes of our lives. We see the wrongs, but they attract us. We sense danger, but without danger, there is no excitement. And as confused as we are of things... it can always be a little more confusing...
Life can always seem like we are just writing away, but in reality, the Delete Key holds us back just a little sometimes... Just enough clean up the edges and represent something a little more sane.
Or just something worth reading about...
