The Path of the Shadowed Soul

Salem discovered that every creature that has or had a soul also has a shadow of that soul called the SoulShadow. Even when the True Soul has been removed from the person, their SoulShadow lingers. This path deals with the shaping and capture of that shadow.

Basic

Shadows of the Soul

This power allows the Shadow Demon to sense the ShadowSoul within a creature and call it forth to be absorbed into the demon. Once done, the Shadow Demon can exert some influence over the victim and weaken their abilities.

Call the SoulShadow

This allows the Shadow Demon to call back a persons SoulShadow back from the Beyond. Once the Demon has called the SoulShadow back, the persons spirit, their wraith, must obey the commands of the Demon until the SoulShadow has been released.

Intermediate

Hand of Darkness

During combat, the Shadow Demon may reach out and grasp the SoulShadow of the person, squeezing, twisting and crushing it causing the victim great amounts of pain. When this power is invoked the hand of the Shadow Demon turns to a purple/black color.

Shadow Transfer

This power allows the Shadow Demon to transfer a SoulShadow they have into another persons body. When this happens, the new SoulShadow fights and destroys the original SoulShadow from within. The New SoulShadow fights for it's life so to speak. During the next few days the person will act strangely as the SoulShadow makes the body adapt to it's new essence. When the body is ready the SoulShadow calls the True Soul into the body, bringing back someone from the Dead.

Advanced

Soul Burn

This allows the Shadow Demon to destroy a SoulShadow. Concentration on the SoulShadow, the demon causes it to burst in a blaze of Shadow Fire (shadow fire is described in the Path of ShadowFire). What happens is the object or person that holds the target SoulShadow is surrounded by a halo of black, what appears to be flames. These flames burn away at the SoulShadow within a few seconds killing the persons True Soul as well. Soul Burn prevents to reincarnation of a person, for there is no soul to call back. This also prevents the person from becoming a wraith or other kind of being. The cost of this power is so great that it can only be used once in a weeks time.
