Learning to Drive with...J-POP!

By: Koorino Megumi

Okay, don't get too scared; let me explain first.  For my Driver's Ed. class, we were required to do some projects.  I didn't like any of the options, so I decided to create my own project: a best hits album of Driver's Ed. songs!

Yeah...kowai desu...  But to make the project more bearable, a little fun, and even more amusing (and corny, I suppose), I deicded I would write Driver's Ed. versions of some of my favorite J-POP songs (motto kowai desu!).

So here they are!  I recorded myself singing these songs and turned in a tape, but, although I'm willing to post the lyrics, putting myself singing corny songs on the Internet was a bit too much for me.

Enjoy!  After all the work I put into these lyrics, perhaps they're still worth a few laughs.

My Car Needs...
A song about the cooling system to the tune of "Give a reason" (Hayashibara Megumi)

It's the Cooling System
Another cooling system song to the tune of "TRUE NAVIGATION" (TWO-MIX)

Asking Why
A song about a girl who was crippled by a drunk driver to the tune of "ASKING WHY" (Amuro Namie)

Resolution
A song about driving in urban areas to the tune of "Resolution" (ROmantic Mode) <--by far the corniest!

Drive into...
A song about driving in bad conditions to the tune of "Summer Planet No. 1" (TWO-MIX)

Wait & See~Risk~
A song about expressway driving to the tune of "Wait & See~RISUKU~" (Utada Hikaru) <--my favorite; really amusing!

Just Keep Driving
A song about handling emergencies (blow outs, etc.) to the tune of "Just be conscious" (Hayashibara Megumi)
