| Objectives: * The learners will use the web and other reference materials to research the problem concept. * The learners will post the data they obtained during their research session. * The learners will input the research data into a database in the Germ Team Forum. * The learners will compare and contrast their research data to the data collected by the other group members. * The learners will reflect and type their reflection in their Journals in the Germ Team Forum. Main Activity (Group): The learners will use the Self-Rating Scale located under Files in the Germ Team Forum to assist in compiling their research. The learners will post their completed Scales in their individual folders in the Germ Team Forum. Suggested Research Areas: * How to stop of cure the spread of an epidemic. * How are epidemics treated? Influenza? * Is there a cure for an epidemic? Influenza? * What affects do epidemics have on communities? * What can be done to prevent epidemics? * See other topics listed on Day One. Extended Learning: Principal Pierce will come to the classroom and meet with the students to answer any questions they may have about the problem concept.
