RESCUE
RATS
Occassionally, we
take in rats which have been "put up for rescue". These are animals which, for
some reason or another, can't be kept by the owner. Sometimes, they do not get
surrendered by the owner, but are dumped at the RSPCA. On occassion, they are
rats purchased by members from pet shops where they are not being treated
humanely, or are babies which have "arrived" a couple of weeks after a purchase.
Currently, we have
the following rats which are looking for forever homes
Stanford, as he is
currently known, is an agouti hood, approx. 5 months old (as at beginning Sept
2003) (pic coming soon)
As yet un-named (give me a day or two) a buff hood female, who
will be ready for adoption once her babies are weaned (approx 1st
December) She has
a lovely disposition, and will make an excellent pet. She is approx. 10 weeks
old (as at 18/10/03) We have 10 kittens, all ruby or pink eyed (therefore a mix
of fawn, silverfawn, champagne and buff is possible) nine girls and one boy.
Markings are not yet know, but I suspect they will be all hoods
