22/09/03 Charity has 13 babies - a mix of hoods and downunder hoods, there are 8 girls and 5 boys

13/09/03 Slowly taking, and uploading, photos of all the babies we have here at the present, as we have taken on the rehoming of two litters from a sister rattery in Canberra. In total we have 39 babies here, but many of these have already been reserved. Currently, we have a mix of mink, agouti, cinnamon, black, and a pink eyed colour we are unsure of (possible dilution of blue with pink eye, carrying ruby eye) in hood, berkshire and self markings, including some show quality

15/08/03 Opal gives birth to ten little wrigglers! 7 black or ruby eyed, 3 pink eyed. We will be looking forward to the development of the colour of these babies.

12/08/03 We have established that Sassy's babies are all black or agouti, barring one, a pink eyed blue boy. The pink eyed blue will be staying. Unfortunately, even though both parents carry the colour, we have no blue babies in this litter. Reservations will be taken once photos are put on our litter page.

09/08/03 Naomi came to collect her two rescue boys today, so now we are left with one little rescue girl - a lovely mink berkshire who is looking for a home with some other ratties so she can play.

07/08/03  The last of River's babies have been adopted, and now we just have reserved rescue babies left

31/07/03 Sassy has 13 beautiful little pink wrigglers! So far, there seems to be 6 hoods, and 6 berkshires, plus one pink eyed baby, whose markings we are unable to tell at this stage

28/07/03 Ruby has one baby (again) to Connor

27/07/03 Royaloaks Renaissance is definitely showing signs of impending motherhood. Due at the end of July, Sassy was bred to Mischief Makers Mocha Harar, an agouti berk/blue carrier. It will be interesting to see what we get, but we should have a mix of berks and hoods in blue, black, agouti, blue agouti, possibly blue/ruby eyed dilute, blue/pink eyed dilute. Put it this way, you'll know when I do!

25/07/03 Royaloaks Phoenix Rising is put with his first wife, Royaloaks Opal Nera.

24/07/03 A lovely visit today from Linda, Shona and Daniel from the ACT - they had borrowed our Bowen for manly duties, and he was coming home. This time, they left with Royaloaks BJ (once again, for manly duties) and Shona decided to give our Rescue girl, Boo, a lovely new home

12/07/03 Together with Karen Riddell (Kismet Rats) we spend the day at the PurrFect Pets/St Ives Shopping Village Pet Expo with Velma and her Pets As Therapy rat racing team. Click on the star to see photos of our day

10/7/03 Started work on the new Grotto style apartments for the girls - Willow, Hope, Rosie and River in apartment A, Tasha, Annie, Pav and Mim in apartment B. Don't know how long it will be before they move in - my DIY skills aren't the greatest!

06/07/03 6 new rescues arrive today - 5 baby girls and their 4 month old Mum

05/07/03 Royaloaks' first downunders arrive - from Cayos Rattery, we have Cayos Devils Delight (aka Devil) and from Mischief Makers we have Mimolette (aka Mim), Pave d'Affinois (doesn't have a common name yet)  and Tomme de Savioe (aka Tommy).

25/06/03 River has 12 beautiful babies today - looks like 7 girls and 5 boys, and they should be a mix of berkshires and selfs in buff, mink and dove

13/06/03 Boo has nine babies - we think 4 boys and 5 girls - bit hard to tell at this early stage

08/06/03 Boo, a sweet tempered cinnamon hood, comes to live with us. Rescued from a pet shop, she is due to have babies any day now
