2. Samuel W.² ZIEGLER (William¹) was born in 1844. He married (1) Annie PORTER. He married (2) Sophia WAGNER on October 11, 1863 in Dutchtown, Digby County, Nova Scotia CANADA, daughter of John WAGONER and Nancy JOHNS.

Note the two different spellings of her surname: Wagoner and Wagner.

3. John Edward ZIEGLER (Samuel W.², William¹) was born February 22, 1865 in South Range, Nova Scotia, CANADA and died about 1897 near Ballard, Washington. He married Sara Ellen SWIFT, daughter of John Wesley SWIFT and Roulina WAGONER.

Note for Sara Ellen SWIFT: Grandpa Jack's obituary (John Samuel Ziegler) states mother's maiden name as Sarah Ella SWIFT.

         Nova Scotia, CANADA; died July 19, 1955 in Stanwood,
         Washington.

    ii. Myrtle Lee ZIEGLER, born September 12, 1885; died
         December 30, 1924. She married Lewis Clarence Anderson.

   iii. Bessie ZIEGLER, born about 1890; died about 1929.
         She married Alfred WALTERS.

    iv. Laura ZIEGLER, born 1893; died 1931. She married
         Alex KOCHBERG.

4. John Samuel⁴ ZIEGLER (John Edward³, Samuel W.², William¹) was born January 1, 1883 in Digby County, Nova Scotia, CANADA and died July 19, 1955 in Stanwood, Washington. He married Minnie Grace GREGORY September 20, 1911 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington^2,3, daughter of George GREGORY and Eva GRACE.

1. Newspaper Obituary for Grandpa Jack, Born January 1, 1883 in Riverdale, Nova Scotia. Died July 19, 1955 In Stanwood, Washington. Moved to Wisconsin (with parents) in 1886. Moved to Ballard when Washington State was still a territory. Served on Ballard's fire department. Later was a shingle sawyer for mills around the Northwest (Clear Lake, Anacortes, etc.).

2. Grandpa's "Newspaper" Obituary, John Ziegler and Grace Gregory were united in marriage in Sedro-Woolley on September 20, 1911. For a number of years the family resided in a home on the Cook Road.
