Richard: 28, born in Ohio
Susan: 26, born in Ohio
Luther: 6, born in Ohio (*family folklore places birth place as Lee County, Iowa.)
Anna: 2, born in IowaDescendants of Luther James Curtis
Generation No. 11. Luther James1 CURTIS was born July 19, 1855 in *Lee County, Iowa and died May 12, 1927. He married Martha D. HENSLEY August 15, 1880 near Queen City, Missouri, daughter of Elcana HENSLEY and Mary Gates.The Luther Curtis family arrived from Fordland, Missouri at Skagit City, Skagit County, Washington January 28, 1888. In April 1888 they moved to the old ranch 2 1/2 miles East of Mount Vernon, near Grandma Mary (Gates) Hensley's place. Mary Hensley was a sister of Thomas, Newton, John, and Jasper Gates of Mount Vernon (Washington) who also came from Missouri. The Gates' moved here in the 1870's. Mount Vernon was Uncle Jasper Gates' farm. A few stores were along the river bank. English was a storekeeper. CURTIS, born April 27, 1884 in Lancaster, Missouri; died February 1963; married James Bartle
iv. Charles E. CURTIS, born March 3, 1886 in Lancaster, Missouri; died about 1890.
v. Louis E. CURTIS, born September 10, 1892 in Mount Vernon, Washington; died 1962; married (1) Blanche Detillian; married (2) Mollie Auburg

May 31, 1881 in Lancaster, Missouri and died November 28, 1942. He married Edna Pearl Holeton June 29, 1910 in Mount Vernon, Washington, daughter of William Cyms Holeton and Edith Holton.Children of James CURTIS and Edna HOLETON are:
