Less than a week to go for the Kitale Challenge
This will be a hub of information on the upcoming challenges in aid of the St John Bosco Centre for Street Children, Kitale, Kenya and we hope that you will enjoy reading up on the various activities planned as well as supporting us in our endeavours.
It's now only a few days to the actual date of the challenges, which are happening this Friday and Saturday, 8th and 9th of October. So far over 35 people have signed up to take on the 20km walk around the Phoenix Park on Saturday which begins at 10:30am. This will be preceded on Thursday by a 20km walk in Kitale Town itself on Thursday and on Friday by the 20km swim in the National Aquatic Centre.
A number of events are being staged and the recurring theme in all these events is 20Km. Our fundraising target for the Kitale 20km Challenge is €3,000 and with your help we can easily reach this target. All proceeds will go towards the construction of new dorms for the centre, as well as the refurbishment of present facilities. Click on the link above to see where all money raised will be going.
