ABOUT ME
I grew up in the Northeast, with my father owning a TV Repair shop run out of his garage, in back of the house.  I learned electronics from my father and how to repair CB Radios, TV's and VCR's over the years. We used to stock Console TV sets, Record Players, 8-track players, about 2,000 tubes, hundreds of service manuals and parts.. My father had even repaired some amplifers for one of the local country bands at the time.

Since the age of 15 back in 1990, I've been facinated with guitars -- much to my parents disaproval at the time. (thanks to musicans like G.E. Smith, Andy Summers, Jeff Beck, Frank Zappa, Joe Satriani, Brian May, SRV, The Edge, The Kinks, ZZ Top, Spencer Davis Group, Buddy Holly,   Robert Cray, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker,  J.J. Cale, Booker T & The MG's, Wilson Pickett, CCR, Pink Floyd, Curtis Mayfield, The Isley Brothers, The Staple Singers, James Brown, Sam and Dave, Otis Redding, Talking Heads, Taj Mahal, Albert Colins, Freddie King, Albert King, B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Clapton, The Who, Rolling Stones,  Robbie Robertson, Chuck Berry, The Beach Boys, The Greatful Dead, The Beatles, and many others are also to blame)...  I was very fond of  Stratocasters in perticular.   Around this time I bought my first guitar, a black Univox Les Paul and a mint condition a  40 Watt 1973 silverface Fender Vibrolux Reverb amplifer. The package deal came  with a Sears FuzzFace, and Univox Wah pedal and even a kazoo! for $200.00.   I was dreaming of the day when I'd have enough money for a real stratocaster.  And it was down hill from there....
I eventually got into computers and showed the school music director how to use a MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) hookup for his keyboards at the time.  Over the years, I aquired more equipment and guitars,  and eventually I finally had my dream guitar, a real Fender Stratocaster.   This page has some information about what I've learned along the way, and rebuilding my 70's strat.   It remains a important hobby in my life.     I hope it is helpful to you.
