I got up about 8:30 - the mind was way too active for me to sleep any more. Now that the environment was cool enough for him to do so without overheating, Corey was cuddling with me as if absolutely nothing had happened. Tell me this: how? How can one just jump back into life as if you weren't affected by what you've seen and done? How does one return to "normal" when the foundations of one's own life, everything they know, has been permanently, drastically changed? I don't know how many others feel the same way, but I need some time to process everything. Chuck was absolutely right when he said that this trip would change our lives. I don't think I'll ever be the same again.
