3 Mariners participated in this years All Star Game. Ichiro was voted in by the fans. He also got the most votes out of everyone because.. well.. he's ichirific!! :o) Kazuhiro Sasaki and Freddy Garcia were chosen by American League Manager Joe Torre.

This year's All Star Game ended in a tie because of the 2 managers, and Bud Selig. But, it was a game that included Torii Hunter robbing Bonds of a homerun, a 2-run shot by Bonds later in the game, stolen bases, nice throws, and good pitching.
Ichiro went 0-2 this year. Jose Vidro made a nice play to take a hit away from Ichiro. No one, and I mean no one is allowed to do that to Ichiro! ;-)
Kazuhiro Sasaki pitched the 7th inning. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits, 1 walk and 2 strike outs. It wasn't one of his best performances, but that's what Joe gets for pitching him in the 7th inning.
Freddy Garcia was the last man standing. Joe Torre wasn't planning on pitching him. But, when all his pitchers were used up, he was the only one left. He recorded the final out of the game by a strike out to Benito Santiago on a nice curve!
