quidnunc -- one who is curious to know everything that passes; one who knows or pretends to know all that is going on; a gossip; a busybody
recrudescent -- breaking out again after temporary abatement or suppression
redivivus -- living again; brought back to life; revived; restored
sesquipedalian -- given to or characterised by the use of long words; long and ponderous, having many syllables
schadenfreude -- a malicious satisfaction obtained from the misfortunes of others
slugabed -- one who stays in bed until a late hour; a sluggard
sough -- to make a soft, low sighing or rustling sound, as the wind
subfusc -- dark or dull in color; drab, dusky
truckle -- to yield or bend obsequiously to the will of another; to act in a subservient manner
