Fisher's Comeback By Karen (Main Writer) Edited by Stephen (Manager) Derek Fisher is injured again. It was the same injury as last year when he had a stress fracture in his right foot. If you've been paying attention to the news, then you already know that he had surgery and now has a screw in his foot. Fisher is expected to be out for 4-6 months, which means he will definitely miss the beginning of the season. The question is... will he be able to make an amazing comeback like last season? Personally, I think he can. Maybe, he won't get all those career highs in points, steals, and field goals made/attempted. But, I'm sure he'll do well. He'll probably shoot a lot while he can't play and might come back with a higher arch in his shot, if that's even possible. Maybe, he'll be hotter next season. If the Lakers can repeat a championship, then can't Derek Fisher repeat his comeback? This prediction will be confirmed after Fisher's first game of the 2001-2002 NBA season. Check back later.... |
