Our first competition was March 5, 2001 at Sullivan Central High School.There were 3 other guards in our class: Grayson County, Jefferson County High, and Patrick Henry. We came in 4th over all and got first in our class!
Our second competition was at Sullivan North High School.We competed in the Novice class and there were 5 other guards in our class: Marion Senior High School, Gate City High School, Grayson County High School, Anderson County High School, and Jefferson County High School. We again came in 1st in our class and we also got the second highest GE score! GO ELEGANCE!
Our last stop was the finals at Abingdon High School on April 2, 2001. We competed against 3 other guards: Grayson County, Marion Senior, and Jefferson County. We won second place because there was a problem with one of the judges having a daughter in the Jefferson guard. To make it up to us, they presented us with the *Judges Favorite Show* award!

Our first competition was on Saturday September 30, 2000, at the Clinch River Band Festival in Tazewell, Virginia. We won:

Our second competition was the McChesney Band Festival in Big Stone Gap on Saturday, October 14, 2000. We won:

Best Band in Class AA
The Kelly Band also recieved the HIGHEST score for the field competition give for the day, above seventeen other bands from four other states including Lee County and John I. Burton (GO Pride of the Tribe!)

Our last competition was at the ETSU Band Festival on Saturday, October 28, 2000. We won:
Best Drum Major (We love you Tiffany!)
Came in fifth place (That's good considering who we were up against.
Other bands in our class: Virginia High, Sweetwater, St. Paul, Sullivan North, Unaka, Coeburn, Northwood.
