2003 Show: "The Letter"
The show is based on the letter written by Sullivan Ballou a week before the Battle of Bull Run. Fearing that he may not return home, on July 14, 1861 Sullivan wrote home to his wife Sarah in Smithfield. A week later, Sullivan Ballou was killed in the Battle of Bull Run. The music used as background to the text is entitled "Ashokan Farewell."

2003 Circuit Affiliation:
Elegance Winterguard is a member of the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit (SCGC). Elegance will perform in the Independent A class. Elegance is also a member of WGI and will perform at the WGI Carolina Regional competition.
