This event is being
organised by Steve Gurney of GurneyGears, and will be held in Blenheim
on Sunday, 10th April 2005, and substantial prize money is being
offered. Steve's motivation for organising this competition is to
inspire a more efficient design of commuter cycle and all the benefits

Events
Challenge 1
is a commuter version of a criterium race around
city streets
Challenge 2
is a flat out 3 km speed test
Challenge 3
is a coast-down test down a 1.5km hill.
Challenge 4 (the "Global Leisure Group" Award for
User-friendliness, valued at $1,000)
a voting panel evaluates and scores machines for
commuter-friendliness, comfort, style and
craftiness.

All events take place in
Seymour
Square, Blenheim, with the excepton of Challenges 2 & 3, which are
held
