An Elven Ranger (Wood Elf)
The elves are, with the exception of the Dragons, the oldest of the sentient races. They were the first true servant race created by the Founder, although not the last by far.
Elves in Erythia tend to be reasonably tall, similar in height to a human, and quite slender. They are very long-lived, although an average life expectancy is hard to gauge, as even though they are a very intelligent race, even they can lose count. It also does not help to have various types of elf, which confuses historians greatly.
Elves used to get on in perfect harmony. However, the Sundering saw the Drow become alienated from their surface cousins, and the Grey Elves become detached and outcast from the Elven lands for not getting involved in the hostilities. (More details on these can be found elsewhere).
In general, elves are more dextrous than humans, although more fragile. They tend to be haughty and cold unless with friends, as they see short-lived creatures as being unworthy of spending time with. Although excellent archers, few are suited for the heavily armed and armoured roles which sturdier races prefer in war, relying more on their speed to undo their opponents in war.
