Sky Elves

Sky Elves is the term given for the inhabitants of the Islands of Cielet, the two islands on the north-eastern coast of Erythia.  The Sky Elves consist of two tribes, one inhabiting each island, and are considered by elves to be on a par in terms of civilisation with the wood elves.  The tribe that live on one island worship the Sun itself as a god, not knowing the name of Skorkos, while the other tribe worship the Moon as a goddess.  Needless to say, there are inevitable conflicts between the two tribes over religion, but these are infrequent.

It is interesting to note the physical differences between the tribes.  The Sun-worshipping tribe tends to number more fair haired elves, and are the most tanned of all elves, while the Moon-worshipping tribe ranks amongst tribal members more white and black haired elves, with much fairer complexions.  The latter might be explained to a certain extent by the fact that the Moon-worshippers are strictly nocturnal, but further study would be needed to test this hypothesis.
