| In the late 2360's the Federation began building the Peregrine class fighter to help patrol their borders against the Cardassians and Romulans. Shortly after the Federation/Cardassian treaty many Federation colonists left the Federation and formed their own group, the Maquis. Several Maquis had knowledge and/or access to these new Peregrine fighters and stole them for use by the Maquis. After modifying them with various weaponry the Maquis put their new Raiders into combat against Cardassian Freighters and Galor class cruisers. |
