| The New Orleans class was designed along side the Galaxy and Nebula vessels. They were designed as a frigate class to help support its sister classes. |
| History In 2364 2 New Orleans classes met at Dytallix B to help the Enterprise D when an alien intelligence attempted to take over Starfleet Command. In 2367 the USS Kyushu met up with the Borg at Wolf 359 with 39 other Federation vessels. It was destriyed at the battle. |
