The Washoo season is in full force as players hone their techniques and develop different climate skills.  The first ever Frazerhaus brought wind and darkness to the Washoo stadium.  After Trevor was swarmed by wasps during warm-ups, the field of play was reset (wasps 1 humans 0).  This created uphill, gusty headwind tosses at the small box.   With 9 players, 4 teams were randomly selected and a double elimination tourny  began with Ellen and Simon shalacking returning May Charity Classic Pro-Am champs TIna and Kevin 11-2.  Mike and Trevor handed similar defeats to Erin, Dave and Sash in the first round and then Ellen and Simon in the second round.  Trevor was on fire calling his pipes while the washer was in the air.  Mike struggled with the chain link fence that was clearly inside  his lefty swing arc.
Delegated to the losers bracket, Tina and Kevin fought their way through Erin, Dave and Sash followed by Ellen and Simon (revenging the earlier loss) and entered the final against the seeminly unstoppable Mike and Trevor, needing to beat them twice in a row for the championship.  Tina and Kevin squeeked out an 11-9 and 11-8 victory stunning Mike and Trevor to retain the Championship belt.
With daylight still available (due to WST), players started another single elimination tournament with new teams.  Sash started to find his Washoo game when 3 of his  frisbee flicks when box, box, box but unfortunately they were at 9 and it sent them back 3 to 6.
Tina proved that she was the true Washoo champ by winning the second tourny with partners Trevor and Erin beating Ellen and Kevin 11-6 in the final.
Impressive play was shown from Child Phenom Martin and his fence hopping buddy Tom.  Definite Washoo Wannabees.
The night was capped off by the ceremonial torch lighting of the wasp nest by host Dave Frazer while the rest of the players coward indoors.  The burn will be called a success (Humans 1 Wasps burnt)
Highlight of the night - the Braidens put on a pipe show with Ellen scoring pipe and 1, followed by opponent Trevor scoring 2 pipes and 1 box all in one end.  Lets hope these 2 never get paired together.
