| The evolution of the Washoo toss has seen exponential growth in the fledgling years of Washoos. There are as many tossing techniques as there are players of the game. Below is an explanation of the major types of tosses. Underhand Frisbee - the washer is tossed in an underhand tossing motion with a last second finger flick to create spin. The washer flies through the air in a similar manner to a flying disc. (Kevin Shonk - founder) Underhand Flathand - washer lays on the fingers of an upturned palm (see image). Player takes one step and releases washer off the hand in an underhand tossing manner. (Ellen Braiden - founder) Underhand Vertical Slicer - similar to the underhand frisbee but the washer flies vertically and perpendicular to its forward direction in the air. Method of release to cause this motion is unknown. (Simon Chan - founder) Overhand Laser - the washer is thrown in an overhand manner similar to throwing a dart (see image). The washer has damaging speed and attempts to fly straight into the pipe. (Kevin O'Neill - founder) Overhand Lob - similar to overhand laser but the washer flight path is arced liked taking a foul shot. (Myra Reisler - founder) |
