Index Restoration Story
Please note that the restoration of my '74 Beetle is still ongoing, so this section (as well as my Beetle) is still "under construction". Every time a certain subject or item is finished, I will write a short article showing you how it was done and what (special) tools and techniques I have used to do the job.
In this section you will find an overview of these restoration articles. Each article is introduced below by a short summary and the link to the full story.
Meet the Beetle part #1 and #2 !
In these two sections I will introduce my car in its original condition. You can read and see how my VW Beetle looked like when I first bought it.

Door Repairs
In this section you can read and see how I restored the bottom of the left Beetle door, using  MIG/MAG and TIG welding. Beautiful welding results make this section really worth reading and viewing !

Tank Cleaning and Repairs
In this section you can read and see how I cleaned, welded and sealed the fuel tank of a '67 type 3 Volkswagen. Rusty fuel tanks often are a big problem when restoring your car. So I thought this article might be worth to be added to the restoration story although this tank did not belong to my own VW Beetle. Find out all about the special sewer cleaning nozzle I used !
