Introduction to my '74 VW Beetle
Let me introduce to you my '74 VW Beetle !
In the picture to the left you will find the cars' birth certificate, the original Dutch License registration Card (the so called "Kentekenbewijs deel 1"). The original licence number was 00-EP-42. Since the licence registration system in The Netherlands is connected to the car, the license number stayed the same throughout its life time. Further details are a 1200cc engine and 6 Volt electrical system. Back in the seventies, this type came as the low price-end of the Beetle range, with no "un-neccessary" accessories. So no headrests, very little sound insulation, a minimum upholstery and a black hub cap as wheel cover. Back to basics ! The car came on the Dutch roads for the first time on 22-01-1975.  Like so many cars in those days, the car is painted in a typical "70's" color L61H, being the official Works colorname "Lofotengrun".

First pictures !
In the pictures below you can see the condition of the car back in 1998 when I bought the car. The car had been standing in a backyard for several years. Although both the front and back fenders were damaged and suffered from several small incidents, the overall condition looked OK to me. As far as can be seen from a quick inspection, the car was almost complete and showed not too much rust on the outside.
