Our first
game of the season was one of the most exciting
I'd ever been in. It was miserably hot, and by
halftime, we were down 3-0 to Tampa Prep at their
place.
It looked pretty bleak, but somehow, we found a
way to come back. Matt Schmidt's header with a
couple moments to play tied it. Ironically,
though, his penalty kick in the shootout hit off
the post, and we lost 4-3.
This is how most of the Keswick-Tampa Prep games
went. We beat them 2-1 later at our place, then
1-0 in the Bay Conference final. The big question
would be: could we get past Tampa Prep a third
time?
