When I arrived in France in September. it wasnt known if the explosion which obliterated the AZF factory was the work of terrorists or not. It transpired that a large quantity of amonium nitrate had been stored badly and had become dangerous. This is the explosive known as amonal which was used to explode mines under the trenches in WW I . The picture is based on news reportage.
