"Hmn..." Deira commented, looking down a well travelled path, "We been down here yet?"
Reihiin shook his head, "No, not yet Deira, though I suppose we will be now..."
Deira nodded, "Yep." And with that the pair headed down the path.
"Mnn..." Reihiin moaned as they entered the cave, "This place is warm..." that had been one of Reihiin's most difficult problems, getting used to the chill. He was used to the warm equatoral temperatures of Menokoo, it was quite different at Draco's.
Deira, of course, had bounded ahead of Reihiin while he soaked in the heat and had been learning all about 'llithra', and before Reihiin knew it Deira was dragging him towards a cage, sticking his hand in and instructing him on what to do. It wasn't until after Deira had finally left him that he got to look over his new friend.
Rhehoku
"Congratulations, it's a female black," the cat beside him said. For some reason, Reihiin was unsurprised. There were so many surprising things here, that he'd stopped being surprised. Reihiin stroked the little black llithra down her spine. "They make wonderful companions," the cat commented.
"I'll call her Rhehoku," Reihiin murmured, "hear that little girl?" he murmured to his new friend, "your name is Rhehoku."
Reihiin watched as Deira bonded to a little silver male, "Your name's K'kelan," she told him happily.
K'kelan
It was then that Reihiin realized that soon Deira wasn't going to be around all the time. Heck, she wasn't even going to be around most of the time. Deira was getting more and more absorbed in the Weyr, and Reihiin had the feeling that soon his friend would make new friends, and he would be left alone again. "Can... can I bond more than one?" he asked quietly.
"If you think you can take care of them," the cat responded. Reihiin nodded shortly and, shifting Rhehoku to his shoulder, he reached into the cage again. When he had sufficiently pet the llithra to be sure of the bond, he regarded him, and this time, he knew it was a him.
"Your name will be Umeki," he informed his new ice-coloured friend.
