Fielcamaradath's Weyrling Year
R'hiin sat outside his weyr, looking up at the stars, leaning against Fielcamaradath and stroking Umeki. Rhehoku was curled up on Fiel's back, sleeping softly. R'hiin's new hobby of star-gazing was something Fiel' had mixed feelings about. Fiel' enjoyed spending time with his Bond, and they spent at least an hour almost nightly together staring up at the stars. However, R'hiin seemed to want to watch the stars because it made him feel insignificant in a negative way, something Fiel' couldn't understand.
R'hiin... Why are you so sad? Fiel' finally asked bluntly.
R'hiin looked up at Fiel' in surprise faltering in his stroking of Umeki momentarily. R'hiin looked down, stroking Umeki evenly again, "What are you talking about Fiel'? I've got you? How could I be sad?" R'hiin smiled up at Fiel'.
Fiel' nuzzled the side of R'hiin's face. Is it Deira? Is Deira making you sad?
R'hiin shook his head and laughed hollowly, "Deira's my best friend, she'd never make me sad."
Fiel' touched his nose to R'hiin's forehead, You miss her. R'hiin paused before nodding. I don't understand, she lives just down the hall.
"She's busy with other things, Fiel', we... don't really see each other except at training and meals. And she's busy with her new friends then... You know, Ku'the, Q'in, Vid'domi, those guys."
I notice you only mention the males, R'hiin, Fiel' said, amuzed. Deira has female friends too, you know. And you are you best friend. You'd know that if you got your head out of your posterior.
"Fi- Fiel'!" R'hiin choked out in surprise.
Well it's true! Fiel' said.
"I... I just think she's got enough new friends that she doesn't need me hanging on to her anymore..."
I stand by what I said when I hatched, Fiel' stated, Deira will never leave you unless you leave her first. Fiel' paused, taking a deep breath, Talk to her, Rider-mine.
R'hiin smiled up at his bonded, "You won't leave this alone, will you?" Fiel' shook his head. R'hiin's smile widened, "Thank you Fiel'," he whispered. "I will go talk to her, first thing tomorrow."

Neònachcùth's Weyrling Year
Deira craned her neck looking around the meal hall at dinner. When she was sure the person she was looking for wasn't there she slumped in her seat and listened to her friends chat around her.Why do you look for him every meal and never afterwards?
He's probably busy with other friends, Deira said defensively. And I'm not looking for him!
Deira could hear the grin in her bubbly bond's voice, Suuuure you're not...
Deira shot a mental glare at her companion, who mentally snorted at her bond. Then Deira threw herself into the conversation with her friends.
Late that night, nearly two in the morning, to be exact Neònachcùth met with Fielcamaradath near the top of the Weyr.
"Our chosen our stubborn," Neòn' whined.
Yes, they are, Fiel' agreed. He bumped his nose into the green's shoulder, But we can be more stubborn. R'hiin will speak with Deira tomorrow morning.
Neòn' 'grinned' widely, How did you do it? She butted Fiel's shoulder in return, You brilliant brown.
It was Fiel's turn to 'grin', I just told him to talk to her.
"So you finally wore him down..." Good work.
Fiel' nodded, I'll see you tomorrow then. The brown nudged Neòn's neck gently, once, before turning and gliding (a little clumsily) back to his ledge.
Neòn 'blushed' softly, You will indeed...
R'hiin approached Deira nervously the next day, Fiel' mentally encouraging him.
When Deira saw him, she smiled widely.
This relaxed R'hiin to no end, and he stopped in front of Deira. "Hi," he greeted quietly.
"Hi," she responded, almost as quietly.
The two were silent for a moment before they both said, at the same time, "I missed you."
They smiled, and Deira threw her arms around R'hiin's neck. "I thought you didn't need me anymore," she murmured.
"I thought you didn't want me anymore," R'hiin replied, wrapping his arms around Deira's waist.
Deira laughed as she pulled back, "Well aren't we silly."
Neòn' dropped heavily to the group beside Deira, "Now that you're talking again, let's go flying."
Deira laughed, "Sure Neòn', let's go fly."
