John 1:1 in a literal translation reads thus:

  1. "In beginning was the word,
  2. and the word was with the God
  3. "and God was  the word."
  4. ^^^^^
  5. Notice that it says
  6. "God was  the word.";

  8. This is the actual word for word translation.

It is not saying that "a god was the word."  That wouldn't make sense.  Let me break it down into three statements.

  1. "In beginning was the word..."
     (en    arche      en  ho  logos)
    • A very simple statement that
    • the Word was in the beginning.

  2. "and the word was with the God..."
      (kai  ho  logos  en
    pros ton theon)
    • This same Word was with God.

  3. "and God was the word." --

    Properly translated as

    "and the Word was God."
     (kai theos en   ho  logos)

    • This same Word was God.

false arguments

  1. But this does not negate the idea that John is speaking of only one God, not two, even though the Jehovah's Witnesses maintain that Jesus is "a god," or the "mighty god" as was addressed above.

  2. Therefore, is there any place in the Bible where an angel is called "a god," besides Satan being called the god of this world in 2 Cor. 4:3-4?

  3. John 20:28 - "Thomas answered and said to Him, 'My Lord and my God!'"

  4.      In the Greek in John 20:28 Thomas said to Jesus, "ho kurios mou, kai ho theos mou," "The Lord of me, and the God of me."  If Jesus was not God, but "a" god, then shouldn't Jesus have corrected Thomas?  Shouldn't Jesus have said, "No Thomas, I am not the God.  I am a god."?  But Jesus did not.  To do so Thomas said to Jesus, "ho kurios mou, kai ho theos mou," "The Lord of me, and the God of me."  If Jesus was not God, but "a" god, then shouldn't Jesus have corrected Thomas?  Shouldn't Jesus have said, "No Thomas, I am not the God.  I am a god."?  But Jesus did not.  To do so

the mountain of God

question

what was the point when ' a God/god'  was very much part and parcel of the 'holy bible' per se?

(Exodus 3:1 KJV) Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

and he led the flock to the backside of the desert; of Sinai or Arabia, on the back part of which, it seems, were goodly pastures; and hither he led his flock to feed, which was about three days' journey from Egypt, Exo_5:3 or rather into the desert (d), for Horeb or Sinai was not behind the desert, but in it:

To Horeb - More exactly, toward Horeb. Moses came to the mountain of God, i. e. Sinai,

Mountain of God - Sometimes named Horeb, at other times Sinai. The mountain itself had two peaks; one was called Horeb, the other Sinai. Horeb was probably the primitive name of the mountain, which was afterwards called the mountain of God, because God appeared upon it to Moses; and Mount Sinai, סיני, from סנה  seneh, a bush, because it was in a bush or bramble, in a flame of fire, that this appearance was made.

(Exodus 3:2 KJV) And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of A bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and THE bush was not consumed.

(Exodus 3:3 KJV) And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why THE bush is not burnt.

(Exodus 3:4 KJV) And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of THE bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

(Exodus 3:6 KJV) Moreover he said, I am THE God of thy father, THE God of Abraham, THE God of Isaac, and THE God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

as if that was not enough, one school of thought utilizes one or more of the above translations in pursuit of its own agenda as well,  to refute and ridicule the other CHRISTIAN SECTS, which do not subscribe to its private  agenda, as seems to be the case above - [christian apologetics & research ministry].

A God

(Genesis 17:7 KJV) And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be A God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

(Luke 20:38 KJV) For he is not A God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him. [5 x 4 & 19 x 2]

the infallible rule of interpretation of Scripture to be Scripture itself

  • however, the author then argued ;
  • that 'the word was god' after all,
  • citing the greek grammatical construction of the statement,
  • in support of his argument,
  • and thereby IGNORING & excluding
  • the monotheistic teachings of both Jesus
  •  and Paul, respectively.

wonder why the same set of rules would not apply to:

"and the word was with the God ..."
  (kai  ho  logos  en  pros ton theon)

therefore, how many other gods did the pauline vis-à-vis the trinitarian christians invent, generate  and literally engender besides THE GOD and the 'satan-god'?

  1. god, the father

  2. god,  the son

  3. god, the holy ghost

for what it's worth, did not the said author himself violate jesus' monotheistic teachings as well, drop the above pauline trinity altogether?

But this does not negate the idea that John is speaking of only ONE God, not two, even though the Jehovah's Witnesses maintain that Jesus is "a god," or the "mighty god" as was addressed above. [CHRISTIAN APOLOGETICS & RESEARCH MINISTRY]

THE ISLAMIC MONOTHEISM

Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah?

5:116. And when Allah saith: O Jesus, son of Mary! Didst thou say unto mankind: Take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah?

he saith: Subĥānaka  - THY HOLINESS/Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then Thou knewest it.

  1. Thou knowest - Mā Fī Nafsī  - what is in my mind/SOUL,
  2. and I know not - Mā Fī Nafsika - what is in Thy Mind/SOUL.
  3. 'Innaka 'Anta `Allāmul-Ghuyūb -  Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Knower of the Hidden?  -
    Pickthal's Quran Translation

PROOF #1 :

Matthew INVENTS A TRINITY INVOLVING MARY, HER SON AND THE HOLY GHOST:

Matthew 001:020 But while he thought on these things, behold,
the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee
1. Mary thy wife:
2. for that [son] which is conceived in her--Mary
3.
IS OF the Holy Ghost.

PROOF #2 :

LITERALLY PROCREATING ANOTHER TRINITY INVOLVING MARY, HER SON AND THE HOLY GHOST:

Luke 001:035 And the angel answered and said unto her [Mary],
1. The Holy Ghost shall
2. come upon thee [Mary],

3. and the power of the Highest shall overshadow
4. thee [Mary], : therefore
5. also that holy thing which shall be born of
6. thee [Mary], shall be CALLED the Son of God.

as if that was not enough, paul invented the trinity of god, woman--the mother of god--GOD BEARER --THEOTOKOS and her son, as per the vatican or the roman catholic church.

PROOF #3 :

galatians 4:4

but when the fullness of the time was come,
1.  god sent forth his
2.  son,
3. made of a woman,
^^^^^^^^^^^^^;
made under the law

made of a woman--"made" is used as in 1Co_15:45, "The first man, Adam, was made a living soul," Greek, "made to be (born) of a woman." The expression implies a special interposition of God in His birth as man, namely, causing Him to be conceived by the Holy Ghost

however, the israelite prophets declared the following, according to the direct commandments of god.

(Numbers 23:19 KJV) God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man,  [5 x 1] & [19 x 1]

(1 Samuel 15:29 KJV) And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man,

(Isaiah 43:10 KJV) Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

(Isaiah 43:11 KJV) I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

just who is the aga khan, anyway? and why is he here?

  • in response, let me say first that

  • i was born into a muslim family,

  • linked by heredity to prophet muhammad

  •  (may peace be upon him and his family).

  • it was exactly fifty years ago

  •  that i became the 49th imam

the ethics of islam bridge the realms of faith on the one hand and practical life on the other - what we call din and dunya.

SECOND, THE FAITH OF ISLAM, IN THE VAST MAJORITY OF ITS INTERPRETATIONS, IS NOT IN CONFLICT WITH THE OTHER GREAT ABRAHAMIC TRADITIONS.

THE SPIRIT OF PLURALISM IS NOT A PALLID RELIGIOUS COMPROMISE.

IT IS A SACRED RELIGIOUS IMPERATIVE.

IN THIS LIGHT, OUR DIFFERENCES CAN BECOME SOURCES OF ENRICHMENT,

SO THAT WE SEE “THE OTHER” AS AN OPPORTUNITY AND A BLESSING - WHETHER “THE OTHER” LIVES ACROSS THE STREET - OR ACROSS THE WORLD.

PLURALISM

Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

the infallible rule of interpretation of Scripture to be Scripture itself

<partial evidence only>

please note that when the old testament and the israelite prophets referred to and/or used the phrase. 'our [plural] God'  it meant much more than just 'a racial or national god', who had favored only the children of israel among his creatures.

this was a mistaken assumption only, because therein were tests and trials throughout. most of them failed to recognize the main purpose behind it due to their own bigotries,  prejudices and betrayals.

more often than not, the children of israel had betrayed god. the old testament is a living PROOF AND TESTIMONY of their ongoing treachery in one form or the other.

on the other hand, when and wherever  the god was addressed as 'our [plural] God'  in the old testament,  that reference or invocation always included THE GOD OF ISHMAEL  as well, since every aspect of the israelite existence,  whether spiritual or material - including the prophetic mission of moses, revolved ONLY around ISHMAEL

ISHMAEL  was the axis of the age and the time.

73:15. Lo! We have sent unto you a messenger as witness against you, even as We sent unto Pharaoh a messenger. [7+3+1+5 = 16 = 7]

Our holy Prophet has to warn his age, i.e., the present age, reclaim it from sin, and be a witness for the righteous and against evil, as Moses did his office in his age. For Pharaoh, his arrogance, and his punishment, see x. 75-92.

Armenian Chronicler of 660 A.D.

To answer that we need to refer to the earliest connected account of the career of the prophet, that given in an Armenian chronicle from around 660 A.D., which is ascribed by some to Bishop Sebeos (Sebeos 1904:94-96; Crone-Cook 1977:6). The chronicler describes how Muhammad established a community which comprised both Ishmaelites (i.e. Arabs) and Jews, and that their common platform was their common descent from Abraham; the Arabs via Ishmael, and the Jews via Isaac (Sebeos 1904:94-96; Crone-Cook 1977:8; Cook 1983:75).

Sources dating from the second through the seventh centuries reveal the gradual evolution of a monotheistic cult, heavily influenced by Jewish practice and Jewish apocalyptic thought, that in the time of Muhammad (d. 632) succeeded in absorbing neighboring pagan cults in the Arabian peninsula.

003white As early as the second Christian century, a Nabataean inscription identified Allah as the patron deity of an Arab tribe in northwestern Arabia.[50]

See J. T. Milik, “Inscriptions grecques et nabatéennes de Rawwafah,” appended to P. J. Parr, G. L. Harding, and J. E. Dayton, “Preliminary Survey in N. W. Arabia, 1968,” Bulletin of the Institute of Archaeology 10 (1971): 54–58.

The Ecclesiastical History of Sozomen, Comprising a History of the Church from A.D. 324 to A.D. 440, trans. Edward Walford (London: H. G. Bohn, 1855), 309–10.

003white Bishop Sebeos, Histoire d’Héraclius, trans. F. Macler (Paris: Imprimerie nationale, 1904), 94–96. Cited in Patricia Crone and Michael Cook, Hagarism: The Making of the Islamic World (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1977), 6–7.

By the fifth century, two centuries before Muhammad, a Greek source reports Arab communities in northern Arabia practicing a religion that, although corrupted by the influence of their pagan neighbors, resembled the religion of the Hebrews up to the days of Moses.

They practiced circumcision like the Jews, refrained from eating pork, and observed “many other Jewish rites and customs.” The source adds that these Arabs had come into contact with Jews, from whom they learned of their descent from Abraham through Ishmael and Hagar.[51] The earliest known biography of Muhammad, found in an Armenian chronicle dating from the 660s, describes the Arabian prophet as a merchant who restored the religion of Abraham among his people and led his believers into Palestine in order to recover the land God had promised them as descendants of Abraham.[52]

Unitarianism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

Unitarianism is the belief in the single personality of God, in contrast to the doctrine of the Trinity (three persons in one God).

It is the philosophy upon which the modern Unitarian movement was based, and, according to its proponents, is the original form of Christianity. Unitarian Christians believe in the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, as found in the New Testament and other early Christian writings, and hold him up as an exemplar. Adhering to strict monotheism, they maintain that Jesus was a great man and a prophet of God, perhaps even a supernatural creature, but not God himself. Unitarians believe in the moral authority, but not necessarily the divinity, of Jesus.

Jehovah:
and shalt call me no more Baali

(Hosea 2:16 ASV) And it shall be at that day, saith Jehovah, that thou shalt call me Ishi, and shalt call me no more Baali.

(Hosea 2:17 ASV) For I will take away the names of the Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be mentioned by their name.

Baali

bā´a-lī בּעלי, ba‛ălī, “my master”): Baal, a common name for all heathen gods, had in common practice been used also of Yahweh. Hosea (Hos_2:16, Hos_2:17) demands that Yahweh be no longer called Ba‛ălī (“my Baal” = “my lord”) but 'Ishī (“my husband”), and we find that later the Israelites abandoned the use of Ba‛al for Yahweh.

Genesis 3:15

(Genesis 3:14 ASV) And <יהוה yehôvâh> thy God <אלהים   'ĕlôhîym >; said unto the serpent...

(Genesis 3:15 ASV) and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and HER SEED: HE shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

(KJV) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;it1931 - הוא  hu  shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

But there is a deeper meaning in the text than even this, especially in these words, it shall bruise thy head, or rather, הוא  hu, He; who? the seed of the woman;

Therefore the address is not to Adam and Eve, but to Eve alone; and it was in consequence of this purpose of God that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin; this, and this alone, is what is implied in the promise of the seed of the woman bruising the head of the serpent. Jesus Christ died to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself, and to destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.

2Co 3:17 -
Now the Lord is that Spirit - The word “Lord” here evidently refers to the Lord Jesus; see 2Co_3:16. It may be observed in general in regard to this word, that where it occurs in the New Testament unless the connection require us to understand it of God, it refers to the Lord Jesus. It was the common name by which he was known; see Joh_20:13; Joh_21:7, Joh_21:12; Eph_4:1, Eph_4:5.

(2 Corinthians 3:18 ASV) But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.

the Hebrew word for Spirit (ruach) is usually feminine
(Genesis 8:9 KJV) But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. (Luke 1:35 KJV) And the angel answered and said unto her, the Holy <hagios> Ghost <pneuma>  shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
(Song of Solomon 6:9 KJV) My dove, my undefiled is but one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the choice one of her that bare her. The daughters saw her, and blessed her; yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her. (Luke 3:22 KJV) And <kai> the Holy <hagios> Ghost <pneuma>  descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
(Matthew 11:19 KJV) The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

(Proverbs 8:1 KJV) Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? (Proverbs 8:32 KJV) Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.

(Luke 7:34 KJV) The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

(Luke 7:35 KJV) But wisdom is justified of all her children.

(Matthew 11:19 Darby) The Son of man has come eating and drinking, and they say, Behold, a man that is eating and wine-drinking, a friend of tax-gatherers, and of sinners: --and wisdom has been justified by her children.

could wisdom have been instead the, 'voice [came] from heaven'?

  • and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son;
  • (Luke 7:34,35  KJV) The Son of man
  • But wisdom is justified of her children;
  • (Matthew 11:19 Darby) The Son of man
  • and wisdom has been justified by her children;

(Luke 3:22 KJV) And <kai> the Holy <hagios> Ghost <pneuma>  descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

In most European languages nouns have gender; that is, it is either masculine, feminine, or neuter. The masculine pronouns are used in these verses because 'Comforter' /parakletos/ is masculine. 'Spirit,' however, /pneuma/ is neuter and would properly require the pronoun "it." Interestingly, the Hebrew word for Spirit (ruach) is usually feminine. Grammatically, all Greek pronouns must agree
in gender with the word they refer to.

Then have them make a sanctuary for me, that my Shekinah may dwell among them.
Exodus 25:8

The Jewish Holy Ghost is known as Shekinah. Her name means 'presence', and according to Lynn Gottlieb (2), her descent among the Jews seems to have been the fulfilment of the terms of the alliance between the God of Abraham and the Jewish people. Hence, the Ark of the Alliance was built so that She may dwell among them.

did paul of tarsus deliberately

and hence, the NEW testament as well?

(Galatians 3:16 KJV) Now to Abraham and his seed were the PROMISES [plural] made. HE SAITH NOT , And to seeds, as of many; but as of ONE, And to thy seed, which is Christ. [19 x 1]

rest assured, the above was a deliberate lie and false interpretation put forth by paul, whose sole objective was  to misguide the masses thereby, as usual.

BECAUSE NO such thing was ever written in the old testament.

on the contrary, the first ever promise made to abram was fulfilled ONLY in ISHMAEL.

But he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir. [19 x 1]

the mountain of Faran

The next major event was the siege of Medina by ten thousand Meccans and allies in April 627. Muhammad protected the central part of the area by a trench that tricked the cavalry. After two weeks Meccans and their allies retreated. In March 628 the Meccans settled the Treaty of al-Hudaybiya with him. The treaty was a triumph for Muhammad.

In chapter 33, of the Pentateuch the second sentence states:

"The Lord came from Sinai, and shined to them from Saer, and gleamed from the mountain of Faran. And ten thousand saints came with him. From his right hand the fire of a law for them appeared.

So the brightness of the Lord is likened to the light of the sun 'The Lord came from Sinai and shined to them from Saer.' He gleamed with glory from Faran. He appeared with ten thousand of his followers, carrying a divine law for them in his right hand.

None of the Israelites had anything to do, Christ included, with Faran.

Hajar (Hagar) and Isma'il (Ismael), her son, wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba. Then, they settled in the wilderness of Faran.( Abdul-Ahad Dawood, Muhammad fi al-Kitab al-Muqqaddas (Muhammad in the Holy Bible)

The Biblical Evidence

hope-of-israel.org/jebelmus

MOSES SERVED JETHRO,
THE PRIEST, KOHEN - IMAM

(Acts 7:29 KJV) Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.

(Acts 7:30 KJV) And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.

(Acts 7:31 KJV) When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,

(Acts 7:32 KJV) Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.

(Acts 7:33 KJV) Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground.

  1. When Moses fled Egypt in fear for his life;

  2.  he journeyed to the land of Midian in the Arabian peninsula --

  3. now part of modern-day Saudi Arabia.

Here he helped the SEVEN daughters of Jethro, priest [KOHEN - IMAM] of Midian. As a result he was invited to Jethro's home and entered Jethro's employment as a shepherd for his flocks. Eventually he married Zipporah, one of Jethro's daughters, and was blessed with two children.

Toward the end of his 40-year sojourn in Midian, Moses was shepherding Jethro's flock near Mt. Horeb, where he came across a sight that was to change his life forever. Notice the account in Exodus 3: "Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest [KOHEN - IMAM] OF MIDIAN, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to HOREB, THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD." (Verse 1, RSV).

Keep in mind the phrase, "MOUNTAIN OF GOD." "And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, but the bush was not consumed." (Verse 2).

  • Later on, after leading the Israelites OUT OF EGYPT and crossing the Red Sea,
  • Moses encamped near Mt. Sinai, which, in the biblical account, is termed the "MOUNTAIN OF GOD"!
  • Shortly after arriving in the vicinity, "Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, together with Moses' sons and wife, came to him in the desert,
  • where he was CAMPED NEAR THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD." (Ex. 18:5).

To further reinforce the identity of Mt. Sinai, the narrative in the Book of Exodus states: "So he [YEHOVAH God] said, 'I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you:

  1. WHEN YOU HAVE BROUGHT THE PEOPLE OUT OF EGYPT, YOU SHALL SERVE GOD ON THIS MOUNTAIN' " (Exodus 3:12).

  2. This promise to Moses was made from the burning bush while he was tending Jethro's flock in MIDIAN!

  3. Clearly, the MOUNTAIN OF YEHOVAH GOD IN MIDIAN,

  4. where Moses lived for forty years,

  5. is the SAME MOUNTAIN OF YEHOVAH GOD ;

  6. he led the Israelites to AFTER the Exodus from Egypt!

(Exodus 3:1 KJV)

  1. Now Moses kept the flock of;
  2. Jethro his father in law
  3. the KOHEN - IMAM - priest of Midian:
  4. and he led the flock to the backside of the desert
  5. and came to the mountain of God אלהים   'ĕlôhîym
  6. even to Horeb.

and he led the flock to the backside of the desert; of Sinai or Arabia, on the back part of which, it seems, were goodly pastures; and hither he led his flock to feed, which was about three days' journey from Egypt, Exo_5:3 or rather into the desert (d), for Horeb or Sinai was not behind the desert, but in it:

To Horeb - More exactly, toward Horeb. Moses came to the mountain of God, i. e. Sinai, on his way toward Horeb, a name given to the northern part of the Sinaitic range. Moses calls Sinai “mountain of God” by anticipation, with reference to the manifestation of God.

he led the flock to the backside of the desert--that is, on the west of the desert [GESENIUS], assuming Jethro's headquarters to have been at Dahab. The route by which Moses led his flock must have been west through the wide valley called by the Arabs, Wady-es-Zugherah [ROBINSON], which led into the interior of the wilderness.

Mountain of God--so named either according to Hebrew idiom from its great height, as "great mountains," Hebrew, "mountains of God" (Psa_36:6);

(Exodus 3:2 KJV) And the angel of the LORD - יהוה    yehôvâh    appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

(Exodus 3:3 KJV) And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

(Exodus 3:4 KJV) And when the LORD יהוה    yehôvâh saw that he turned aside to see, God אלהים   'ĕlôhîym called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

(Exodus 3:5 KJV) And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

(Exodus 3:6 KJV)

  1. Moreover he said,
  2. I am the God אלהים   'ĕlôhîym of
  3. thy father [singular]
  4. the God אלהים   'ĕlôhîym of Abraham,
  5. the God אלהים   'ĕlôhîym of Isaac,
  6. and the God אלהים   'ĕlôhîym of Jacob.
  7. And Moses hid his face;
  8. for he was afraid to look upon God אלהים   'ĕlôhîym .

Exo 3:6 -

I am the God of thy father - Though the word אבי abi, father, is here used in the singular

St Stephen, quoting this place, Act_7:32, uses the plural, Ὁ Θεος των πατερων σου, The God of thy Fathers; and that this is the meaning the following words prove: The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. These were the fathers of Moses in a direct line. This reading is confirmed by the Samaritan and by the Coptic.

ISHMAEL  was the SOLE SAVIOR, the pillar and the ONLY backbone of the children of israel, the 'holy bible' and the biblical -  israelite - judeo christian history, regardless.

SO WHAT WAS PAUL TALKING ABOUT WHEN THE 'HOLY' BIBLE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF?

reminder

(Galatians 3:16 KJV) Now to Abraham and his seed were the PROMISES [plural] made. HE SAITH NOT , And to seeds, as of many; but as of ONE, And to thy seed, which is Christ. [19 x 1]

the above was a deliberate lie and false interpretation. paul only intended therewith to misguide the masses, as usual.

BECAUSE NO such thing was ever written in the old testament.

THE PROMISE
related to the posterity of Abraham at large

  1. Now no one probably ever read this passage (Galatians 3:16 KJV) without feeling a difficulty,
    and without asking himself whether this argument is sound,

  2. and is worthy a man of candor,
    and especially
    of an inspired man.

  3. Some of the difficulties in the passage are these:

  4. (1) The promise referred to in Genesis;
     seems to have related to the posterity of Abraham at large,

  5. WITHOUT any particular reference to an individual.
    It is to his seed; his descendants; to all his seed or posterity.

  6. Such would be the fair and natural interpretation should it be read by hundreds or thousands of persons ;

  7. who had never heard of the interpretation here put upon it by Paul.

that Abraham had two[1] sons
for these are the two[2] covenants

(Galatians 4:22 KJV) For it is written, that Abraham had two[1] sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

(Galatians 4:24 KJV) Which things are an allegory: for these are the two[2] covenants; the one from the mount Sinai[1], which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar[1].

(Galatians 4:25 KJV) For this Agar[2] is mount Sinai[2] in Arabia,

Dear Ali,

So in the NT, the word Kyrios is used to mean "Lord" and would cover the meaning of both YHWH and adoni. We know this because when Jesus quotes Psalm 110:1 "the LORD (YHWH) said to my Lord (adoni)" the Greek has Kyrios both times (Mk. 12:36).

So in the NT, the Greek word Kyrios will stand for YHWH some of the time, but is not translated that way, but as "Lord". i.e. the Lord (Kyrios) Jesus Christ.

I hope this is helpful.
