PATLABOR NEW OVA SERIES |
|
The second video release of Mobile Police Patlabor which were produced after the TV series ended in September 1990. The story continued the TV series as there were four episodes which concluded the black labor incident left unsolved in the TV series. Other episodes were about Noa’s bad day, the last day of a children TV show, a mad bomber, ruckus within SV2 mechanics, Kanuka’s and Kumagami’s rivalry, Ohta’s amnesia, a poor kitten story, Gotoh’s and Shinobu’s love hotel adventure, the underground tunnel mystery, Asuma’s strange love story, an Ultraman parody, and ended with the rumor about the forming of SV3. |

Episode One: Griffon Resurrected |
|
Utsumi was entertaining people on the street when Kurosaki called him, as they prepared for the next step of project Griffon.
Meanwhile, SV2 were watching the Peacemaker combat test and amazed by the result. Kanuka was in Japan to visit her grandma.
At Schaft secret boat, the members of Griffon project told Utsumi that all the preparations were ready. Utsumi persuaded Bard to defeat the Peacemaker first before settling the score with Noa’s Ingram.
That night, Detective Matsui visited Gotoh concerning the gathering of overseas labor manufacturers to Tokyo, and since there wasn’t any official news about it, there must be something hidden. But Gotoh asked for a guest list. Meanwhile at another place, Kumagami and Momoko were discussing the same thing.
Just when Gotoh asked Mr. Sakaki to stay, the alarm went off as there’s a fire in Tokyo.
While SV2 were busy dealing with the fire, in somewhere else, a black labor appeared and SV1 were called with their Peacemakers. Can their new patrol labors defeat the black labor? |

Episode Two: Bad Luck Day |
|
Noa woke up with a toothache. Everyone were concerned by her behavior the whole day, and Asuma even teased her. Shinshi gave her some pain killer medicine but she took it all and made her sleepy. Captain Gotoh couldn’t resist the temptation to draw a watch on Noa’s hand and put sticky notes on her back when she’s asleep.
Later, SV2 must capture a stolen labor at the mountain. But every move Ingram made gave Noa more pain. And so, she finally lost her temper when the stolen labor just won’t surrender, ended with the total destruction and tears to the poor criminal. |

Episode Three: Schaft’s Counterattack |
|
The battle ended up with the defeat of two SV1 Peacemakers by a single black labor. Everyone felt sympathy for Shinobu’s division. But Mr. Sakaki believed that the black labor will definitely come back for the Ingram.
At Schaft secret boat, Utsumi got a call from his angry boss saying that the police showed up in Schaft’s office. He warned Utsumi not to jeopardized the company by continuing his project, but Utsumi didn’t listen.
At SV2 HQ, Matsui paid Gotoh another visit. He reminded Gotoh about Utsumi and that he and Schaft Enterprise might be the ones who pull the strings.
Meanwhile, everybody was excited as the New Year was about to come within the days.
Matsui called Gotoh from a hotel saying that the arms dealers were checking out at the same time. Meanwhile, Utsumi had a meeting with his boss.
Later, during Griffon’s maintenance, Kurosaki brought something to be installed in the labor, a little “insurance” from the boss.
That night, the black labor appeared again and SV2 rushed to the scene. What will happen next?

Episode Four: 90% Viewer’s Rate |
|
Mother’s Time, a children TV show that has been running for 20 years was finally going to end as the crew were preparing for the last episode. However not everyone was happy, apparently not for Kumagoro, one of the original cast who acted as a bear. He held the studio hostage with a small working labor and demanded a large sum of money and a helicopter or he would blow the bombs planted in the studio.
The SV2 were called to solve the situation. Inside, Gotoh ordered the bear to surrender but apparently the bear wasn’t joking about the bomb as he blew up a car in the parking lot.
Moreover, instead of preparing the ransom, the producer had another plan as the viewer’s rate suddenly increase due to the situation and they want to take advantage of it.
The first plan involving Noa and Kumagami dressed as waitresses didn’t go well as it increased the heat, as well as the viewer’s rate. But there’s another plan on Gotoh’s sleeve that might succeed...

Episode Five: The Greatest Showdown in History |
|
The black labor was on the highway bridge as the traffic being diverted and SV2 were on their way. On Schaft’s side, Kurosaki was planning to get the fight broadcasted live on TV.
Momoko and the TV crew were trapped in the traffic and she had to walk to the fight.
The plan was to limit the battle area within the bridge and trap the black labor from two sides. However, it was too good for Ohta to handle and ended up with his labor pulled into the water while the black labor disappeared again.
Meanwhile, Kanuka was planning to use Unit-3 to help Noa. Captain Gotoh also gave Kumagami and Momoko a hint regarding “certain people that might by watching the fight nearby”.
At last, a patrol helicopter spotted the black labor heading towards the shoreline. SV2 hurried to the scene while Kumagami and Momoko headed somewhere else. Actually, there was a hotel near the shore line, and the arms dealers were watching the fight between Ingram and Griffon from inside. With TV equipments, Momoko managed to get their faces recorded unnoticed.
Meanwhile, Noa had difficulties handling the aggressive black labor. Suddenly it moved backward, set up a sprinter’s pose, powered its jet and rushed towards Noa, sent her labor into the air and landed on the carrier. More trouble came as Ingram’s battery was empty and the black labor raised its hand to finish it. Can Noa survive the direct attack? |

Episode Six: Black Tri-Star |
|
A member of House of The Sea terrorized Tokyo with bombs. While at SV2 HQ, Shige had an accident when the gas tank used to warm the water suddenly exploded. Which reminded the rest of SV2 team that they haven’t take a bath for a while. So, they decided to go to a public bath house.
On the way, they found an unconscious man lying. Apparently he was a detective in pursuit of the mad bomber and attacked. He only told that the mad bomber had three moles in the right armpit before he went unconscious. Gotoh suspected that the bomber must be inside the public bath house and decided to make an arrest before something bad happen.
Inside the public bath, there were only a few people in it, and unfortunately most of them were looked like criminals. So they decided to find a way see those men’s armpit.
Things didn’t go well as each SV2 members had strange ways to handle their target. Finally, none of the men have moles in their right armpit, instead the investigation led them into a massive fight.
So, who was the real bomber? Can SV2 members made it out of the bath house alive? |

Episode Seven: Game Over |
|
The fight continued as the damaged Ingram managed to escape from the black labor thanks to Hiromi. Also, another help came just in the right time as Kanuka used Unit-3 to fight the black labor while Alphonse’s battery was being replaced.
Meanwhile, Kumagami entered the hotel as she saw Utsumi at one of the windows. However, Utsumi had already prepared for the kind of situation and put someone else in his room. But Kumagami eventually met him on the corridor.
Outside, the battle was still going on, and finally Bard revealed his identity to Noa as the kid from the game center. Noa couldn’t help it and became more angry as Bard thought the fight was just a game he played with his “big sister”.
Can Noa defeat the black labor? And can Kumagami finally arrest Utsumi and settle things between them? |

Episode Eight: Seven Days of Fire |
|
Ohta messed his labor (again) and this gave the mechanics more work as Mr. Sakaki ordered to be fixed. Shige told that the mechanics needed more rest, but when Mr. Sakaki was visiting, he found tons of porn movies and magazines hidden inside the rooms.
After burned the cursed items, Sakaki gave more strict rules and forbid many things to the mechanics, things like fishing, sleeping while on duty, etc, etc.
Later, Sakaki invited Shige and reminded him the first time Shige arrived at SV2. Eventually, Sakaki told that Shige was going to be his heir.
With this in mind, Shige began to be more cruel as he uphold Mr. Sakaki’s rules and created a discipline committee (much more like a Nazi) to control the mechanics’ behavior.
But the mechanics retaliated and formed opposing group to battle Shige’s. This battle continued and it got worse everyday, resulting chaos in the SV2 HQ.

SV2 finally got a vacation at a hot spring, and Captain Gotoh was along with them, as well as Kanuka. Things seemed to be going well until Kumagami told Kanuka that she put Kanuka’s underwear inside her bag without asking her first. Instead being thankful, Kanuka accused Kumagami for violating her privacy.
And so, the war between the two most beautiful women in SV2 began during the night feast. The other members of course tried to settle the situation but unfortunately it gotten worse when everyone got drunk, and Captain Gotoh chose not to get involved in the mess and called Shinobu’s home instead.
And so, who will be the winner? Either Kumagami or Kanuka, it’s an interesting battle to watch ^_^ |

|
Ohta had a weird dream where his friends became monsters and he had to shot them. The bad news was when he woke up, Ohta didn’t remember anything, even his own identity. With bodies found around the house (it was Shinshi’s house) and a gun in his hand, Ohta thought he was the killer and fled the scene.
With Shinshi’s wallet in his pocket, Ohta thought he was Shinshi, and wondered around the city searching for his identity while hiding from the police. Meanwhile, everyone was concerned about Ohta’s whereabouts.
Can Ohta finally get his memory back? And did he really kill all his friends?

Episode Eleven: The Kitty in the Rain |
|
During a rainy day, Noa found a box left outside the SV2 hangar. Inside there was a very weak kitten. She brought it inside and asked Hiromi to nurse it. But nobody mustn’t know about it, especially Captain Gotoh, Mr. Sakaki, Ohta, and Kumagami. Fortunately, Asuma was willing to help the kitten. And so, with every effort Hiromi could think of, they tried to bring the kitten back to perfect health.
But thinks didn’t go smooth as SV2 must went on mission, and Noa was worried about the kitten she left. So Asuma asked Shige to help them to look after the kitten during missions.
Then one day, the kitten was back to health and everyone was happy. But still problems came as the kitten often wondered around the hangar, and even took a ride inside Alphonse.
What to do if someone else know that there is a kitten inside the hangar? And will it eventually leave the SV2 or decided to stay? |

Episode Twelve: Karuizawa for Two |
|
Captain Gotoh and Captain Shinobu went back to Tokyo after a meeting. It was already night and storm was blowing all over the place, blocking every road to Tokyo. Moreover, Gotoh was worried something might happen to the car, and plus, he was very tired.
The only solution was to find a hotel to spend the night, but there was no decent hotel they could find, instead there were only love motel. Reluctantly Shinobu agreed to stay in one of the motel and even share a room with Gotoh, who seemed very eager to do so.
What will happen next? Could this be the moment Gotoh has been waiting for? |

Episode Thirteen: The Dungeon - Again |
|
An albino alligator in the Tokyo Aquarium laid a huge pearl (actually it was a kidney stone) in its cage. The news was spreading and reached to the SV2 mechanics who remembered it was the alligator SV2 encountered before in the sewer near SV2 hangar. The thought was there might be more pearls in the sewer to make them rich, and some of the mechanics decided to go down secretly despite of Sakaki’s prohibition.
The next day, everyone was alarmed about this and the SV2 decided to go down and rescue the three mechanics while Sakaki was preparing to seal the manhole with concrete. But what nightmare will wait them inside the endless labyrinth of tunnels?

Episode Fourteen: Snow Rondo |
|
Asuma received an invitation to his high school reunion. Besides meeting with his old friends, Asuma encountered his high school love, the beautiful Kashima. Moreover, after the reunion, Kashima actually talked to Asuma and even went on a date with him.
All went well except that Kashima suddenly disappeared to nowhere during stargazing at the planetarium and left an invitation to a photo exhibition.
Meanwhile, everyone at the hangar was worried about Asuma who seemed to have a lot of thinking lately.
What was going on with Asuma? Did he finally find his love? But what about Kashima herself? With all the strange events, could she only an illusion or a ghost, or a dream?
BTW, this is a very good story with some heart-touching BGM in it. |

Episode Fifteen: Woman Who Came from the Stars |
|
In the middle of a night, Noa saw a light came out from the small sack behind the SV2 hangar. Upon entering, she found a secret door. Inside she found the secret base of CLAT (Creature from Luna Attack Team) and the members were everyone in SV2. The purpose of CLAT was to fight extraterrestrial who try to invade earth (similar to those Ultraman’s teams).
At the same time, countless number of UFO were heading towards earth, destroying every space defense weapon stationed by CLAT. Moreover, Ohta and Shinshi got caught by the aliens (who seemed a lot like Utsumi).
With every CLAT’s effort seemed to failed against the alien’s weapons and monster, what will Noa do to save the earth?
BTW, everyone will immediately notice that this episode is an Ultraman parody. |

Episode Sixteen: All Quite in SV2 |
|
SV2 were having the day off, and Noa decided to clean her room when she remembered something missing from her room, something precious to her.
At the HQ, Kumagami was working on some paperwork regarding her plan for the future of SV2. Meanwhile, Hiromi was also there to fed the chicken, Ohta was cleaning his labor’s gun, and Asuma was teaching Mr. Sakaki how to use computer.
Upon presenting her work to the captains, Gotoh and Shinobu were actually thinking about forming a new division, SV3, and suggested Kumagami as the captain. But she couldn’t decide it so soon.
The next day, Noa still couldn’t find what she was looking for, and Kumagami invited everyone to see the new cadets out of town. But Asuma and Noa have other plan, and Shinshi came late, so it was just Ohta and Hiromi.
At the training ground, Ohta easily defeated a cadet in labor fight with no gun, which was a surprise to Kumagami and Hiromi. After that, the cadet gave something to Ohta.
Meanwhile, Asuma and Noa headed to his brother’s grave. This was the first time Asuma told Noa that he had a brother that committed suicide.
With all of these, will Kumagami decided to become a captain? And did Noa find what she was looking for?
