Bone Marrow Transplant -- Time
Dear everyone,
While they can't be exact with the time, we've been told it will be around
6:00 pm tonight when Travis begins receiving the "fresh, new marrow"
(as we call it!) intravenously through his central line.
Travis made it through his radiation 2x today extremely well -- again.
Last session to go in 30 minute. He is more sleepy today, and a bit uncomfortable
(sore throat), but otherwise in good spirits and knowing today is a big
day.
We were singing "Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Today we get marrow!"
We've prepared a packet of love for our donor to be delivered anonymously
to the donor (they said it's ok), including a note/picture from Travis and
an origami bouquet that he made, a letter from Joe and me, a carabiner,
and a few other things that are very meaningful to us.
Last night was a very emotional one for Joe and me. We're feeling more
calm today, still emotional though...
Deep breath...
Thanks for the prayers. Think of us between 5 and 6-ish tonight. More
