Task 

The teacher will divide you into teams of 5, representing each of the various groups as listed below:

1) Directors from Health Supplement Companies

2) Executives from CASE (Consumer Association of Singapore)

3) Farmers engaged in organic farming in Singapore

4) Nutritionists

5) Scientists representing MNCs dealing in GM food

6) Economists from the Ministry of Trade and Industry

You and your team will work together to represent your concern group. Weigh the pros and cons of embracing GM foods from your group's perspective. With the aid of the resources provided, assess the impact of GM foods on our diet, agriculture, economy, and consumers in society.   

               

After your research and discussions, make an informed report to the Prime Minister's Office with your assessment of the positive or negative impacts of genetic engineering in Singapore. Projects to consider include (but are not limited to):

Letter to the Government
