We did it!  We got married on September 1st, 2001 at the Stokesay Castle in Reading, PA.  The weather was absolutely perfect and we were surrounded by friends and family.  It was a day we will never forget and certainly made all those months of planning worthwhile!  To see our wedding pictures, click on the "Wedding Album" button under our picture at right, or use the link at the bottom of this page.

Countdown to our First Anniversary:

Lyrics

We chose several very important and meaningful songs for our wedding ceremony and reception.
As the groomsmen and the groom took their places, our guests heard Don Henley's "For My Wedding."  The bridesmaids and the bride walked down the aisle to the classical piece, "Canon in D Major" by Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706).  We danced together for the first time as husband and wife to Shania Twain's "You're Still the One," and for the father-daughter dance, we chose Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance."  Click here if you'd like to read the lyrics, as well as the words to a special poem written just for us.

Bridal Shower Photos

Because we have family and friends in Erie but live in the opposite corner of the state, we were treated to a bridal shower in each area.  The first one was held in Fairview, PA.  Click here for photos.

The second shower was held outdoors at our home in southeast Pennsylvania.  It was a wonderful time, despite the heat and humidity that day. Just half an hour after moving the shower gifts, food, and decorations inside, we got hit with a tremendous summer storm - complete with thunder, lightning, and heavy downpours!  (We later found out that the storm knocked out power for 40,000 electric customers in New Jersey and Philadelphia!)  But after the storm passed, things cooled down a bit, and we had a wonderful night sitting out with our friends, playing horseshoes, and even camping out in the backyard.  Click here to see pictures.
