Tom and I met on December 3rd, 1993 at a country western bar.  We were both there with a group of friends, and our friends all started talking.  When one of the guys asked me to dance, I told Tom that I was hoping he would ask me to dance.  Later, he did, and the rest is history.  

We exchanged phone numbers that night, and over the next few weeks, we talked on the phone a lot.   We went to a Christmas party hosted by some friends later that month.  The following February, we attended a wedding where he met my parents for the first time.  

By March, Tom began the process of moving and working closer to where I was living.  By August we had moved in together.  We didn’t even have a bed when we moved into our first apartment!  

We slept on the floor for almost six months - I used my Christmas bonus check that year to buy a bed - our first major purchase together.  But that wasn't the only milestone that year - we also got engaged - on December 3rd, our anniversary!

During the summer of the following year, we moved again, to a one-bedroom apartment closer to where I was working.  I got pregnant the following January and we moved to a two-bedroom apartment in the same complex.  Morgan was born in September, which brought our family to four (including Tom’s daughter, Tasha).    

By the next year, we were looking to move again.  We found a great place with two bedrooms, a nice big attic and basement, and a huge backyard.  We moved in on Halloween night, and we’ve been living there ever since.  We’re now looking for a home of our own – hopefully, our next move will be our last!
