NOTTINGHAM VISIT

I visited my longstanding penpal Dennis in West Bridgford, Nottingham after corresponding with him for more than 17 years. He and his wife Betty expressed their happiness in welcoming me to stay in their house. I travelled from Victoria Coach Station in London and arrived at the Broad Marsh Bus Station in Nottingham. Dennis was there waiting for me. He took me to his lovely house in West Bridgeford which is about 15 minutes travel from the bus station. Almost immediately, I felt I was at home. Both Dennis and Betty are dynamic persons, though they are retired senior citizens. Dennis and I had been writing to each other for years and we knew about each other to the very last detail. Betty had prepared a delicious vegetarian lunch and all three of us had the lunch together. We had a chat and then Dennis took me around the town. I saw, among other things, the famous Trent Bridge Cricket Ground which is only about 10 minutes walk from their house. It was all joy for me to see the places which so far I have seen in pictures sent by Dennis. During my stay I saw many places of interest. Some of them are captured in the camera. Though photos are not equivalent to the sheer natural beauty, it is a medium to show the images. In this site, I have put those pictures and tried to give relevant information from what I learned. I hope you will enjoy seeing the pictures. I eagerly wait to know your response. Thanks to sign the Guest Book found in the Epilogue page. Best wishes!
