| The Song of Songs is a collection of love poems, for the most part in the form of songs by a man to a woman, and by the woman to the man. In some translations, the book is called The Song of Solomons, because it is attributed to Solomon in the hebrew. These songs have often been interpreted by jews as a picture of the relationship between God and his people, and by Christians as a picture of the realtionship between Christ and the Church. Whatever your beliefs, I think you will find this is a beautiful set of poems about love and I find that they reach a special part deep inside me. This is the reason I am choosing to share this with you, my friends. |
