Remembering My Love
As I sit here confused about my life
Around me the world continues on.
My thoughts drift to you my love,
And I wonder where you have gone.

I lay back and close my eyes;
I picture you in my mind.
Remembering how you treated me,
So sweet, so tender, so kind.

I imagine your eyes so beautiful
Gazing deep into mine.
My hand reaching out to touch your face,
Feeling your skin so soft against mine.

I run my fingers through your hair,
the softness is so unreal.
I feel your breath upon my neck,
I love the way it feels.

I move into your embrace,
And I feel your arms tighten around me.
I raise my lips to yours,
So I can taste your kisses, sweeter than honey.

Your hands move down my back.
I tremble as I feel your caress.
My body turns to jelly,
As my body drains of all its stress.

My heartbeat is increasing,
It is beating a rapid tattoo.
My temperature is rising,
Because of my passion for you.
BRINGGG... the phone rings.
Reality intrudes again.
As the world comes into focus,
I wonder what might have been.

We had something special,
Which you chose to ignore.
Your reasoning confuses me,
But it is still you I adore.

The reality of us was a beautiful dream.
One that I wanted to go on forever.
Will I ever stop loving you?
The answer I give you is never.
