The municipal government shall aim to produce more to sustain the needs of the population. Using the same land area for planning purposes, upgrading of technology and production techniques and strategies must be implemented to increase agricultural production. Diversification of crops and experimenting on other high yielding varieties of agricultural crops can also be done. Cultivation of high value crops aimed at providing other agricultural based livelihood programs will enhance the affordability level of the population to avail of agricultural food requirements not produced in the municipality. Thus, agricultural self-sufficiency will mean production of the required foodstuffs and generating income from agriculture that will boost the buying power of the population.
