Mid 2000.  I’d returned to the PWA after a lengthy absence to deal with personal issues and first found myself back into a heated battle with my older brother, Raizzor.  That situation was life altering for me, as it forced me to face my own personal demons.  In the end, I discovered that blood is much thicker then water and when Raizzor forgave me, a new Chamelion was born.  I now was back in the PWA in the summer of 69… oops, wrong song, sorry.  I was back in the PWA, mid summer 2000 and decided a new course of action was necessary.

Together with Raizzor, we created a group called the Dark Forces, in a bid to gain a strong foothold within the PWA, and we did just that.  However, at nearly the same time another group, who’s intentions were far more nefarious appeared, called D.E.A.T.H..  To counter them, we included some very well liked wrestlers and changed to the Twilight Forces, among those who joined us; Sirus Moran.  I won’t go into much detail concerning this, but it was a long hard battle that carried through the entire summer.  What it did end up doing for me, is it put me into the spotlight for the first time, and around the time I won the PWA TV Title for the second time, a new event unfolded.

Michael McGovern brought together four federations and created a tournament for the Undisputed Interfederation Championship, pitting thirty two competitors in a single elimination tournament from four different brackets.  When it reached the finals, the four bracket’s winners competed in one elimination match to determine the Undisputed Interfederation Champion.  Any guess who won?  Yeah, Me!

It was an incredible feeling, to have achieved my first EPIC victory since becoming a wrestler, but it would not stop there.  That fall, the PWA introduced to the world ‘Rumble in the Bronx ’ where every active PWA superstar would compete in one match, with it’s winner earning the right to go onto the December PPV to fight for the PWA World Title.  Forty eight athletes, ok, Forty seven and one stuffed bear, heh, entered into the fray, and it came down to Sirus Moran and I.  He almost beat me, but when it was all said and done, my hand was raised, and it was in that moment, that I knew I’d forever be elevated into the main event spotlight.

Still, there was one thing left to do; win the PWA World Title.  At X-Mas @ Ground Zero, I faced off against The Spider, and through a hard fought battle, cleanly pinned him for the 1-2-3 , and forever my world was changed.

Well, for two minutes anyway.  Let’s just say that to this day, I really despise President Rob Robinson, heh.

The year 2000 is where it truly began for the Most Devious SOB in the business today, and it’s what forged me into the champion I am now, and forever shall be.

Here endeth the history lesson.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada – Tuesday Afternoon, March 21, 2006, the day after Havok.  The scene displayed is in Chamelion’s hotel room as he leans against the wall next to the king sized bed, and Sandra sits in one of the overstuffed chairs in the corner.  Raizzor is present as well, standing solidly in the middle of the room as Chamelion looks at his curiously.

“Alexis Sykes?  Brother, what possessed you?”

Turning his dark visage at his younger brother, the Soul-Taker replies gravely.

“Nothing possessed me, Little Brother.  I merely decided to even the odds, since it appeared the young lady was about to be forever damaged.”

Smirking, Chamelion shakes his head.

“Never do you cease to amaze me.  I’m not exactly fond of SiD, myself, but recently Lisa and I have been on.. shaky ground, compared to before, so I suppose this isn’t so far fetched.  Still, a tag title chance, out of thin air?”

“Seemed more like smoke to me, hun.”

Sandra’s smart remark causes Chamelion to blink, and he gives her a playful eye roll but keeps his focus on Raizzor.

“That was not my intention, Mark.  If the BWF proposes it and Alexis sees fit to include me, then I will stand in her corner with her.”

“She’s not exactly a very… friendly and sharing person, from what I gather.  Doesn’t take well to playing with others, it seems.”

“There is more to her then she let’s on.”

Gazing at his brother, Chamelion quirks his eyebrow.

“Oooh? Well, this is your match, bro, and it’s nice to see you back in the ring. While it’s an odd partnership, I really do hope the best for both of you. Heck, maybe you’ll be a calming aspect to Alexis’s gun ho forward thinking.”

Raizzor barely shrugs.

“Truthfully, my intentions are a little more selfish then that.  Executioner is in this match.”

Nodding, Chamelion remembers.

“Yeah, that is a good reason, if nothing else.”

“And you, Little Brother?  The Elimination Chamber is finally solidified, and again a change in programming, as it were.  Cody Clark?”

“Yes.  I’ll get to that momentarily, and I’m going the same route as last time, cause it appears it worked wonders.  Clark ’s wishing well, Torborg’s book of theories, Ice’s ..umm… usual rant?  All of it was excellent fodder… and I bet they’ll really have a blast watching what I have to say about it.  Still, I didn’t much appreciate the publicity against me the last few weeks, and that’s a rub I have to get over.”

“Do you mean the rumors that surfaced shortly after your first promo?”

“Yeah, as I said, In the past few weeks, people have been on my case for promoting myself earlier then expected for this upcoming PPV, in fact, some went so far as to say I was cheating.  Now, that’s just ‘internet rumors’ but let’s face it; it’s negative publicity on my part and can have a potentially damaging effect on my chances in the Elimination Chamber.  How, you may ask? Simple, negativity can lead to questioning my own self worth, which in turn leads to making bad judgments in the ring.  That would have been an issue, until I discovered the complaints were rooted inside a deep seeded fear that my supposed advantage, wasn’t because of timing, but because I really am that …heh, damned… good!”

“Then do not back down on them, Little Brother, and continue to push until you have them all in a corner they can not fight out of.”

“That’s the plan.  I already pieced together segments for all of them, based on the past couple of weeks and as I said, the Choose Your Own Adventure aspect is back again.  Still, it’s actually been the toughest weekend of my life, and no matter what happens, I can’t wait for that PPV to be over.”

Sandra stands and comes over to Chamelion, snuggling up to him.

“Keep positive, dear, and you and Michael can both be champions when this is over.”

The brothers look at each other and smile.  Chamelion then chuckles once, shaking his head.

“Raizzor, aligned with SiD?  I suppose if that can happen, I certainly can win the Elimination Chamber.”

With a short shake of his head and a faint smile, Raizzor slaps his brother on the shoulder and walks out of the room.  Chamelion looks at his wife.

“I love you, you know that.”

“I know.”

“Good, cause this week I may not be a very good husband, with the unified title riding on the line, so I ask forgiveness now if I seem to ignore you.”

Sandra kisses him on the cheek.

“Actually, I’d been meaning to tell you; I’m flying home tomorrow, and wont be here.  I need you to remain focused, and I don’t want to be any sort of distraction.  I support you so much, so this is why I’m leaving.”

Eyes tender, Chamelion caresses Sandra’s cheek.

“You… are amazing.”

She grins back.

“And don’t you forget it.”

Stepping back, she gives Chamelion room to step away from the wall, and he takes a deep breath.

“Then tonight we spend the evening together.  My opponents can satisfy themselves on my presentation as it is; and starting tomorrow… they get no mercy!”

With that, he turns his eyes our way.

“So, kiddos, same thing as before; pick a pic, have a go, and I’ll be looking forward to hearing back from all of you, very, very soon!”
