| Once upon a time there lived a handsome man in the prime of his years. His name was Garry and he lived in a large room at the top of a tower called "Charles River Park." Although Garry could look out his window and see the Charles River flowing past and watch sunsets behind the Cambridge skyline, he was not truly happy. Why? Because there was no one in his life with whom he could share the sunsets and the beautiful view. Oh, he'd been out and about, wining, dining, and doing those things that handsome young men of means and opportunity are wont to do, but alas...it had left him unfulfilled. In another part of the world, across a wide ocean, there lived a woman called Marilyn. She dwelt in the ancient city of Jerusalem, west of Nod and due south of Eden. She was not happy either, for she had married a toad thinking he was a prince in disguise. Because Marilyn and Garry were friends from many years past, they wrote each other eloquent letters concerning their deepest feelings and all that sort of stuff, so that when it came time for Marilyn to return from the holy land, she joined Garry for a rejuvenating visit to the magical isle known as "Martha's Vineyard." The isle had something different in mind than a mere vacation, for there, by the sea, they fell in love. Really. I kid you not. So clear was it to both of them that love had blossomed on the vineyard that on the ferry ride on which they returned to America, Marilyn gazed deeply into Garry's eyes and said "So. We've tried everything else. Shall we try each other?" and he, a man of few words unless a camera were pointing his way said, in his mono-syllabic eloquence, "Yes." Not merely did he say yes, but he also said "I do," and they were wed on the 15th of September, 1990. And they dwelt in the Hub of the Universe, called Boston, in a condominium with many many stairs...and cats...and dogs...and they were happy until... After a decade and some had passed, the city was taken over by evil counselors who made the roads impassable and blocked the intersections with heavy equipment. The air became dark with dirt raised by the great machines and even the smallest passage between place and place became a journey fraught with peril. And so Marilyn and Garry fled from the city and came to the valley of the River Blackstone, then into the shire of Uxbridge. And they made a home amidst the green woods and dwelt in peace. And so it remains unto this very day... |

| Tinker came to us from Bobbe Jackson. She's a funny but very unusual PBGV (Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen) with the sweet personality of her grandmother, Pagan, and the brain of Lex Luthor. She gives new meaning to the breed description "musical voice, freely used." She's the smartest dog I've ever known and utterly unique. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Ch. Sandcastle Divot (aka Divala) was our first pup and remains Garry's favorite "fur kid." She is our dowager queen and forever princess. She is the "sherrif" of the household and believes her job is to manage all the other dogs. Manage them she does, and keeps them in line too. A more delightful Norwich Terrier you will never meet. She's retired from the show ring having completed her championship. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Leader of the pack and the ultimate "good old boy" of the PBGV world, Griffin combines sweetness with a genuine sense of humor. Ever ready to put on his act, Griffin is the dog that always brings a smile. His joy in life is contagious and I eternally thank Nancy Sandoval for letting him share our lives. Also known as The Big Griffster and The Griffinator, he's a friend to all the world and as you can see, one devilishly handsome fellow! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Amber is the new kid in town. Bought as a birthday present for Garry, she bonded to Kaitlin quite literally the moment the two met and they've been inseperable ever since. Nick-named Red Rocket, she's one smart pup and a true escape artist. She came to us from the fabulous Bobbe Jackson and Lynn Rowell of Goose Creek (NC). She is, by the way, a red dapple mini dachshund. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Last, but definitely NOT least, Tegra, a big mixed breed, was saved by Sandy and Owen from death the day before her execution. She is very smart, very sweet, and has decided that she wants to be a member of the "upstairs" pack. As far as she is concerned, she's still a pup. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
