We believe that our participation in a Comenius 1 Project will have many effects on our students, teachers, school managers and even the families of our pupils.
The expected effect of our project on our students;
a. To realize that there is another world outside other than their own, to get aware of other cultures and languages and to see the similarities and differences,
b. To get motivated for learning languages,
c. To improve social skills,
d. To learn to work as a part of a team based on coopeartion with other students and teachers.
The expected effect of our project on our teachers and school managers;
a. To get the chance of examining other educational systems and to compare the differences and similarities,
b. To develop new approaches to teaching and learning methods through cooperation with partner schools,
c. To develop personel and vocational knowledge and skills.
The expected effect of our project on the families of pupils;
a. To support and partake in school activities,
b. To play a role in decision making in school related matters and the application of these decisions,
c. To play a role in dissemination of project results.
The priorities and expected outcomes of our project:
a. To use ICT more effectively (a computer lab exists at our school),
b. To provide equal opportunities in education by including both girls and boys and also pupils who feel themselves excluded from the society socio-economically,
c. To achieve a whole-school participation in the project and thus enhancing team spirit at school,
d. To achieve a more beautiful environment at school through cooperation with partner schools,
e. To set up a “school environment team”,
f. To accomplish self-evaluation at school,
g. To disseminate project activities and products through local press and media,
h. To set up a joint website with partners in order to enhance dissemination and sharing.
