HISTORICAL JOURNEY
This module attempts to trace the common roots of the Moro, Lumad and Majority in Mindanao. It also seeks to establish how they were separated by historical conflict and how they can re-establish the traditional connection for purposes of unity, peace and development. It also seeks to make the participants identify, analyze and confront the roots of their biases/prejudices.
Modular Objectives:
- To trace the common roots of the Moro, Lumad and Majority in Mindanao;
- To establish how these groups were separated by historical conflict;
- To enable the participants to identify sources of conflict;
- To enable the participants to begin challenging stereotypes;
- To encourage the participants to live peacefully in mutual respect and harmony;
- To present the peace process, causes of conflict and the paths to peace; and
- To evoke the participant's perceptions on the state of the Tri-People relations in Mindanao and the roles of key players and instruments in conflict and its resolution.
