CREED OF THE TRI-PEOPLE PEACE-BUILDERS
|
We believe that God, Allah (s.w.t.), Diyos, Panginoon, Bathala, Ginoo, Malh, Kadnan, Tuan, Namula and Magbabaya are the names of Divine Providence in different tongues.
We believe that the Majority, Moro and Indigenous People, are of one race, one blood, one past.
We believe that the Settlers, the Moro, and the Indigenous People presently inhabiting Mindanao are rightly called the Tri-People of Mindanao, for they now share a common fate.
We believe that the Tri-People, though diverse, can only enjoy progress and prosperity if they are united.
We believe that the youth of the Tri-People play a vital part in ensuring that the agonizing history of Mindanao shall never be repeated again.
We believe that tribal prejudices, inter-cultural misconceptions, religious animosity and general hatred are caused by one's ignorance of the way of life of others and one's refusal or apathy to learn so.
We believe that it is wrong to judge another by his tribe or religion, and that he should be judged by the quality of his character.
We believe that difference in one's way of life with others, perception and upbringing is neither bad, nor diminishes a person, but instead enriches one.
We believe that the use of superior force can never be a solution towards having harmonious coexistence.
We believe that ignorance, prejudice and hatred can be eradicated through one's awareness of the way of life of others.
We believe that, after awareness would come respect, and then acceptance.
We believe in dialogue as a means to transform conflict into opportunity, where affected parties are mutually benefited and positive relationships are established thereafter.
We believe that there is hope for the Tri-People of Mindanao.
And, we believe in the power of prayer.
