Similar to the Tuyan, Malapatan Culture of Peace Training, this project was intended for the dissemination of the culture of peace to the youth sector who are residents in the barangay area. In this case, twenty-seven (27) puroks and one (1) high school campus of Barangay Calumpang, General Santos City were the target. This activity was organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan Council of Calumpang, led by now-KAAKBAY-GSC Public Information Officer Floyd O. Dagum. Again, KAAKBAY took on the role of facilitator/trainer. This project was the first activity where the culture of peace training was conducted in a camp-type setup.

       The First Calumpang Youth Peace Camp, like the previous three trainings, is one of several offshoots to the TTOCOP in the continuing quest of the youth sector to finally reach all the campuses and barangays in spreading peace, tolerance and mutual respect between and among the tri-people of General Santos City, Sarangani Province and South Cotabato. One-hundred thirty-four(134) youth from the twenty seven (27) puroks and one (1) high school campus of Barangay Calumpang, aged 14 to 21, attended. It is highly anticipated that more peace camps and culture of peace trainings shall be held in 2003 involving KAAKBAY.
