Assignment 5, Part 1: Coffee Sites Comparison
I think the first coffee site (not original one) has better design than the second one.
Here are my detailed reasons that why I think the second site has poorer design.
- First of all, all pages of the first coffee site have a same background color, but the second coffee site has different background colors in each page. Different backgrounds give bad impressions and confusions when people look at it.
- In the second site, if you see the index page, you will find the links on left side, but in Coffee Lovers' Test page, Quotes from Olden Times page, and Other Coffee Sites page you will notice that the links are on the bottom of the pages.
- Besides, lists on ��Coffee Lovers' Test�� are not organized neatly.
- Lower case and capital letters are used without consistency. The letters of the links are capitals in three pages, but only in ��For the Coffee Lovers�� page, the letters of the link are written in both capitals and lower cases. Therefore, people might get confused and be given impressions that the host does not care about whole consistent style.
- In ��Other Coffee Sites�� page, the title on the top of the page should be ��Other Coffee Sites��, but there is ��Coffee Lovers Unite��. When people click the ��Other Coffee Sites�� link to see which other coffee sites are recommended, but they would think that is not what they want to find.
