Justin's Bootleg Tape Trading Page

Hello everyone. I have subjected the page to yet another overhaul. I have added the frames for those who care to use them, and I've moved much of the information from this main page to individual pages you can access from just below the list of artists. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Things are always a bit hectic here, so if I don't get back to you right away, don't worry. If it goes more than a couple of days, mail me again, just in case one of the frequent e-mail problems has struck again.

My rules are pretty much the same as everyone else's:

- Please use hi-bias, Type II tapes. My preference is for Maxell XLII, but that's negotiable.

- Please don't use high-speed dubbing or noise reduction.

- DON'T split songs over two sides, or cut talking. Simply restart the song on the other side. Waste space if you have to.

- Please secure the tape reels with elastics, like this

- I like to have a setlist and as much information as I can about a show.

- Please stay in contact during the entire process. I will do the same.

- Newbies: That's me too, so I'll certainly do 2:1 trades or some variation. I'm always happy to do 2:1 for anyone.

- For your information, my geographic location is Newfoundland, CANADA

- My personal page is here

Please feel free to EMAIL ME about a trade or for information, or to correct any mistakes I may have made. I'm interested in a very wide range of stuff.

Grading

A: Great sound. Very listenable.

B: Still quite listenable, but with noticeable flaws, usually hiss or lowish levels.

C: Pushing it. Distant vocals, lots of hiss or crowd noise, poor dynamic range.

D: Is that Pearl Jam or Simon and Garfunkel?

I use + and - within the categories, and also include my comments. Grading is, of course, subjective. If you disagree with my grading, please let me know. Please feel free to ask for details about specific tapes if the Comments section doesn't answer your question.

Now, for your browsing and listening pleasure, I have included SOUNCLIPS of selected songs from selected recordings. The songs with clips are highlighted in blue in the setlists. Each clip is 30 to 40 seconds long, and takes up about 70K or so (pretty small and quick to download!), and they're in RealAudio 3.0 28.8 format. If you don't have the player, download it from their site . It's not a big program, and it's free. (By the way, the sound quality of the clips is not nearly as good as it is on the tape)

And now for the list: Last added to: February 20, 1999

Well, the page has finally assumed a good form, and it will stay this way for awhile. Each artist now has their own page, and each artist's page has links to all of the others. In the near future, I hope to have links to resources specific to each artist on their page. Any suggestions are welcome.
