| 1.) Electromagnetic Field Detector (EMF) - Is a tool used to detect disruptions in the electromagnetic field. Paranormal activity has long been asociated with disturbances in the electromagnetic field. When you get a reading between 2.0 - 7.0 mg, means that a ghost may be present. Ghosts and spirits are believed to be electromagnetic in origin, that is why they can be detected by using such a device. The EMF detector is also known as the Gaussmeter. Gauss is a unit used to measure the strength of a magnetic field. It is named for a German mathematician, Karl Friedrich Gauss. 2.) Thermal Thermometer (scanner) - The Thermal Thermometer measures temprature changes that may or may not be caused by paranormal activity. It works by sending out an infrared beam that connects with a surface and bounces back to the unit giving it the temprature of where the beam connected. Sudden changes in temprature by 10 degrees or more may be associated with paranormal activity. This type of thermometer is of great use to the ghost hunter. 3.) Motion Detector - Motion detectors detect disruptions to the units beam. When something passes by the infrared beam it send a signal and an alarm goes off. If you have already secured an area where you have placed the detector and something set off the alarm, this would be an excellent time to take pictures and see if something shows up. 4.) 35mm Camera - The purpose of taking pictures during an investigation is to capture evidence of ghostly manifestation if at all possible. Sometimes with spirit activity, anomalies may appear on film when you cannot see them with the naked eye. 5.) Video Camera - The purpose of this tool is to record spirits or orbs in motion.
